Once there lived a canine. He became very grasping. There had been oftentimes that he needed to pay for his greed. Each time the canine promised himself, “I even have learned my lesson. Now I will in no way be greedy once more." But he quickly forgot his guarantees and turned into as grasping as ever.

One afternoon, the dog was extraordinarily hungry. He decided to head look for something to consume. Just out of the doors of his house, there was a bridge. “I will go and search for meals on the opposite aspect of the bridge. The food there's, in reality, higher," he concept to himself.

He walked across the wood bridge and began sniffing around for meals. Suddenly, he spotted bone mendacity at a distance. “Ah, I am in good fortune. This looks a scrumptious bone," he said.

Without wasting any time, the hungry canine picked up the bone and became pretty much to eat it, when he concept, “Somebody might see right here with this bone and then I will proportion it with them. So, I had better pass home and devour it." Holding the bone in his mouth, he ran in the direction of his house.

While crossing the wood bridge, the dog regarded down into the river. There he noticed his very own reflection. The silly dog mistook it for every other dog. “There is every other dog within the water with bone in its mouth," he notion. Greedy, as he was, he idea, “How pleasant it might be to snatch that piece of bone as well. Then, I could have two bones."

So, the greedy canine looked at his mirrored image and growled. The mirrored image growled returned, too. This made the canine irritated. He appeared down at his mirrored image and barked, “Woof! Woof!" As he opened his mouth, the bone in his mouth fell into the river. It becomes handiest whilst the water splashed that the greedy dog realized that what he had visible was nothing but his own reflections and now not another canine. But it becomes too late. He had lost the piece of bone due to his greed. Now he needed to go hungry.
